Abstract
This Act provides for the establishment of the Council for National Herbarium and Botanic Gardens of Malawi as a body corporate and defines its functions and powers. The Council shall, among other things: (a) establish a herbarium at a suitable place which shall be a centre for the preservation, nursing and classification of plants in Malawi; (b) establish botanic gardens at such suitable place or places in Malawi as the Council may see fit. The Minister may make Regulations for the better carrying into effect of this Act.
