Abstract
This Act, consists of 5 Parts and provides in Part I for the establishment and powers of Local Land Boards, for each Land Control Division.
Part II is dedicated to the Consent to transaction, regulates the restrictions on land transactions, the general consent and no consent that the Minister may, directly or through the Board, give in respect of all transactions or of any specified class of transactions in a Division. It also covers the submissions and the disposal of applications.
Part III is dedicated to family land matters (land partition, replacement of family representative).
Part IV is about other powers of the Board, namely land use. Part V provides for miscellaneous issues, among which the possibility, for any person whose application for consent to any transaction has been refused by the Board, to ask the Board to refer the matter for review by the Minister. Also offences are covered here as well as regulations that may be made by the Minister for the better carrying out of this Act.
