National Parks and Wildlife (Control of Trophies and Trade in Trophies) Regulations, 1994 (G.N. No. 86 of 1994).

Trophy means ivory and the whole part or any part of the horn, head, tusk, bone, or skin of any protected species and includes eggs, egg shells, nests or plumage of any protected bird, but does not include any article manufactured from any trophy (reg. 2). No person shall trade in trophies or manufacture articles from trophies for sale unless he is in possession of a trophy dealer's permit in the form set out in the First Schedule. Recovery of trophies which under section 90 of the Act are government trophies may be rewarded (reg. 4). Such trophies shall be scheduled by the appropriate officer in the form as set out in the fourth Schedule. Schedule 2 specifies a fee for permits and Schedule 3 specifies district marks for ivory and rhinoceros horn.
