Abstract
This Act makes provision for the protection of domestic or captive animals against cruel treatment. It defines various offences and proves for court procedures in relation with such offences. It also provides for powers of enforcement of the police and allows the Minister to appoint places for the treatment and care of animals in respect of which offences have been committed under this Act. The Act also defines powers of the Minister to make Rules for carrying into effect provisions of this Act.
