Abstract
The Act establishes that any warehouse operator or person authorized to act as such issuance of may issue a warehouse receipt. A warehouse receipt may be issued in any format but some minimal information must be provided, these include: a statement of the location of the warehouse; the date of issue of the receipt; the unique identification code; a statement whether the goods received will be delivered; the rate of storage and handling charges; a description of the goods or the packages containing them; etc. Part III concerns duties and obligations of warehouse operator. Under the Act "goods” means all things that are treated as movable or personal property for the purposes of a contract for storage or transportation.
