Animals (Importation) (Amendment) Order 2026

Made under subsection 5(1) of the Animals Act 1953, this Order amends the Animals (Importation) Order 1962 by replacing Paragraphs 2 and 3, deleting Paragraphs 4 and 5, and updating the First and Second Schedules. It regulates the importation of specified live animals, birds, carcasses, animal products, semen, feed, and related materials into Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territory of Labuan. Under the revised provisions, imports are subject to designated conditions and restrictions, including import permits issued under the MAQIS Act, health certificates from competent veterinary authorities, inspection and sampling by MAQIS, and mandatory quarantine periods where required.
