Abstract
This Act amends the Malaysia Energy Commission Act, 2001.
Amendments include: minor word changes to sections 2, 8, 10, 18, 21 and 25; minor word changes and the insertion of new provisions to section 5 on the membership of the Commission; substitution of section 7 with a new section on tenure of office of commission members; insertion of a new section 17A on restrictions on the use of the symbol or representation of the commission; insertion of a new section 18A on the temporary exercise of functions of the Chief Executive Officer; insertion of a new section 33 on limitation of contracts; substitution of section 33 with a new section on accounts and reports; and deletion of section 34.
