Abstract
The Fisheries Act 1985 is amended in the Long Title, the Preamble and in sections 1, 3, 8, 11, 14A, 25 and 31, principally regarding the monitoring and control of local fishing vessels, sanctions for the illegal use of gear and the compounding of offences by the Director-general of Fisheries.
