Abstract
These Regulations amend the Food Regulations, 1985.
Amendments include: minor word changes throughout the text and in sections 12, 16, 17, 18D, 22, 25, 134, 223, 233, 259, 279, 280, 281, 332A, 339, 357, 358, 389, 389A, 392 and 395; insertion of new provisions in sections 11 and 18 on labelling requirements; substitution and insertion of new provisions in sections 18A, 18E, 20 and 26 on food additives and nutrient supplements; insertion of new regulations 125A and 254A and substitution of various provisions with new ones in regulations 136, 224 and 253-255 on standards and particular labelling requirements for sweetening substances, confections, soup and soup stocks and nut and nut products; insertion of new items and word changes in the Fifth A Schedule, Seventh Schedule, Eleventh Schedule, Twelfth Schedule, Seventeenth Schedule, Twentieth Schedule A, Twenty-first Schedule and Twenty-first A Schedule.
