Abstract
The Food (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2026 amend Malaysia’s principal Food Regulations 1985 [P.U. (A) 437/1985] by updating the Fifth A Schedule to revise claims and conditions for trans fatty acids, replacing Table III with updated conditions and minimum required amounts for various nutrient function claims, and updating the Sixteenth Schedule to establish or modify Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) in specified foods for several pesticides—including cyantraniliprole, dinotefuran, fipronil, imidacloprid, and sulfoxaflor—while correcting a typographical spelling error in the national language text for sihalotrin
