Abstract
This Food (Amendment) (No.3) Regulation 2020 is enacted to amend the P.U.(A) 437/85 Food Regulations 1985.
Regulation 41 (3)(c) of the P.U.(A) 437/85 Food Regulations 1985 is amended. It is stipulated that no person shall import, prepare for sale or sell any food containing 0.01 milligram or more per kilogram of any pesticide residue, where the pesticide is not specified for that food in the Sixteenth Schedule or Codex Alimentarius. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (3)(c), food may contain 0.01 milligram or more per kilogram of any pesticide residue with the prior written approval of the Director. The amendments are also made on the pesticide residue limits.
