Abstract
These Food (Amendment) Regulations (No.3) 2019 are enacted to amend the P.U.(A) 437/85 Food Regulations 1985.
Regulation 161 of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting after subregulation (2) the following subregulation: “(2A) Notwithstanding subregulation (2), canned fish in sambal tumis shall contain not less than 35 percent fish.”. The P.U.(A) 437/85 Food Regulations 1985 are also amended in 19A (processing aids substance), 178A(Raw-clean edible birdnest), regulation 54, regulation 130, etc. Raw-clean edible birdnest shall not contain more than 30 milligram per kilogram (mg/kg) of nitrite which is naturally present.
