In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Food Act 1983 [Act 281], the Minister makes the following amendment of regulation 82 The Food Regulations 1985 [P.u. (A) 437/1985]. Regulation 361 of the principal Regulations is amended as follows: by substituting specific words and by inserting the subregulation specifying packaging and labelling requirements; by substituting the sub regulation 5 regulating any alcoholic beverage which is displayed for sale in any retail outlet or sales counter; by inserting the subregulation 5A on persons who sells alcoholic beverage, as specified in the Schedule 20B; and regulating the sale to persons of 21 years as specified in the Schedule 20C; by substituting the words "under regulation 395 as food not elsewhere standardized and shall be prohibited for sale"; and by inserting subregulations 7 and 8 providing for offences and penalties. New regulation 386A deals with hard liquor, as prescribed in regulations 377 to 384 and regulation 386. In addition, amendments establish labelling and packaging requirements as specified in the amended Schedules 20B and C.
