Abstract
The present Regulations make provision in matter of importation into Malaysia of live poultry and birds (such as chicken, domestic fowl, guinea fowl, turkey, quail, pigeon, duck, goose or wild birds) for any purpose. The following documents are required: (a) an import licence; (b) a certificate containing a full description or identification of the poultry or birds; (c) a veterinary health certificate. Moreover, the consignments shall be subject to veterinary inspections. In the case of wild birds, furthermore, upon arrival in Malaysia they shall be directly taken to the approved quarantine station to be subjected to quarantine measures for a period of not less than thirty days.
