Abstract
To import wild carnivores into Malaysia from any country and for zoo or exhibition purposes, the import permit, to be granted by the Director General of Veterinary Services Malaysia, is required (Regulation 1). On the other hand, consignments of such animals shall be accompanied by a veterinary health certificate certifying their health conditions and certifying as well that they have been vaccinated and kept in quarantine. Regulation 3 deals with transport; Regulation 4 concerns quarantine measures to be undertaken upon arrival of the consignments in Malaysia.
