Abstract
These Rules are enacted in accordance with the Water Services Industry Act 2006 (Act 655).
The sewerage planning for sewerage works or septic tank works shall be prepared in compliance with- (a) planning procedure; (b) Guidelines; and (c) sewerage catchment plan. The competent person shall apply to the Commission for the approval of sewerage planning for sewerage works or septic tank works. The Rules further make provisions for the procedures and manner in which plans and specifications in respect of any proposed sewerage systems are to be submitted and approved, the duties and responsibilities of the certifying agencies, licensees, developers and other relevant persons in the approval process including the approval of the detailed design and specifications, inspection obligations and the imposition of fees.
