Abstract
This Act amends the previous law in many articles, the main of them concern (i) some definitions; (ii) licensing provisions; (iii) requisites to operate the zoo, commercial captive breeding, circus, or wildlife exhibition; (iv) possess, keep, or use of snares; (v) some powers of Director General; (vi) duties and obligations of licensed hunters; (vi) sale of protected wildlife by a licensed hunter; (vii) keeping wildlife; (viii) prohibition of certain acts in wildlife reserves and wildlife sanctuaries; (ix) capturing or killing of wildlife for protection of crops; (x) offenses and penalties; (xi) cruelty to wildlife; (xii) powers to stop, search and seize conveyance; (xiii) rejection of enforcement of an officer's access to any premises; (xiv) provisions regarding controlled species; (xv) hybridization activities; (xvi) reports on wounded dangerous wildlife; (xvii) offenses committed by body corporates. The amendment adds new Schedules at the end of the law, concerning protected and totally protected wildlife for referred articles, and dangerous wildlife.

Entry into force notes
This Act comes into operation on a date to be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette and the Minister may appoint different dates for the coming into operation of different provisions of this Act.
