Abstract
The present Act has been enacted in order to authorize the Legislatures of the States of Malaysia to pass laws with respect to the establishment and operation of wood-based industries specified in the Schedule attached, which cover charcoal and bamboo factories. Such laws, nevertheless, may not be inconsistent with the applicable laws enacted at the Federal level.
