Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 13 articles, creates the National Institution for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development (IDEPA). It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned public institution under the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, entitled, in particular to perform the following activities: designing statistical studies of expertise on fishing activities and developing infrastructure supporting small-scale fisheries and aquaculture and elaborating proposals for policies and strategies, plans and programmes aimed at the development and extension of fishing and aquaculture activities. In addition, it repeals Decree No. 62/98 of 24 November and Decree No. 28/2008 of 2 July, respectively creating the National Institute for Development of Small Scale Fisheries (IDPPE) and the National Institute for Aquaculture Development (INAQUA).
