Decree No. 41/2021 establishing the mechanisms for indexing and adjusting the Average Reference Tariffs (TMR) for the public water supply service.

This Decree establishes the mechanisms for indexing and adjusting the Average Reference Tariffs (TMR) for the public water supply service. This Decree applies to public or private water supply systems that comprise the production, distribution and sale of drinking water in the national territory. The objectives of this Decree are: a) to ensure a balance between the quality of the service provided, the interests of users and the sustainability of water supply systems; b) ensure recovery of the impact of the variation in macroeconomic factors on the Average Reference Tariff; c) guarantee the financial capacity to expand the water distribution network. Annex II specifies the Periodic Review Index for Water Supply Systems.
