Decree No. 57/2008 approving the Regulation on Inland Fisheries.

This Decree approves the basic Regulation on Inland Fisheries. The Regulation, consisting of 6 Chapters, specifies the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform all inland fishing activities. It defines different types of fishing areas, fishing methods and authorized fishing periods (Chap. I); specifies administrative procedures for obtaining a fishing licence and fishing vessels' marking (Chap. II); Competent authorities to carry out controls (Chap. III); Fishing requirements to be met in the Lake Niassa (Chap. IV); Fishing requirements to be met in the Cahora Bassa Basin(Chap. V); Fishing activities requirements to be satisfied in other water basins only can be performed by artisanal fishing (Chap. VI);
