Decree No. 8/2018 creating the National Institution for the Development and Management of Fisheries Infrastructures (INFRAPESCA).

This Decree creates the National Institution for the Development and Management of Fisheries Infrastructures (INFRAPESCA). The responsibilities of INFRAPESCA are: a) Preparation of proposals for policies, strategies and plans relating to the development of fisheries infrastructures; b) Preparation of studies and projects leading to the materialization of the development and exploitation of fisheries infrastructures; c) Management and administration of fishing infrastructures, within the principles and criteria of environmental sustainability and economic and financial profitability; d) Mobilization of resources to finance fisheries infrastructure development programmes and projects; e) Promotion of public-private partnerships for the development of projects and/or exploration of fisheries infrastructure.
