Decree No. 82/2019 on the revision of Decree No. 74/2013 of 31 December, redefining the attributions, powers, nature and structure of INNOQ, IP.

This Decree revises by adjustment redefining the attributions, powers, nature and structure of the National Institute for Standardization and Quality (INNOQ, IP). Amended articles establish new composition, duties and responsibilities of the INNOQ, IP, entitled to carry out the following activities: a) Promoting the development of a national quality system, to integrate all the relevant components for the improvement of the quality of products, processes and services; b) Planning and programming the actions necessary for the execution of the defined policies; c) Preparing, approving and disseminating Mozambican standards (NM); d) Maintaining and developing national measurement standards and their traceability to the International System (SI); e) Promoting administrative or judicial actions within the scope of INNOQ, IP's inspection activity; f) Promoting the establishment of a national network of metrological laboratories; g) Establishing agreements with similar regional and international entities; h) Collecting, processing and disseminating information relevant to the development of a national quality system; i) Representing the Republic of Mozambique with international entities related to quality infrastructure; j) Promoting and developing training actions within the scope of Standardization, Metrology, conformity assessment and Quality Management.
