This Law establishes the protection and respect for the fundamental rights and freedoms of people with disabilities, with permanent handicap of a physical, mental and sensory nature. The purpose of this Law is to protect and respect the fundamental rights and freedoms of people with disabilities, with permanent physical, mental and sensory impairments. This Law aims to promote and guarantee the full exercise of the rights of people with disabilities, the elimination of barriers, as well as their inclusion and participation, on an equal basis with other people in all spheres of society. The implementation of the social protection system must take into account the specific needs of each person with a disability. The import of specialized vehicles and assistive technologies, devices, aids and sunscreens for people with disabilities is exempt from paying import taxes, in accordance with specific legislation.
