Abstract
This Ministerial Decision approves the Fishing Line Management Plan within Marine Waters of Mozambique for the period 2014-2018. This Management Plan, consisting of nine Sections and 3 Annexes, establishes requirements to be satisfied in order to perform fishing line activity within the marine waters under Mozambican jurisdiction. It focuses on the contribution of fisheries to the national economy, on the basis for the Management Plan and its objectives, on policy key guidelines for the management Plan overview and fishing line aquatic resources rational exploitation, on the objectives and operational management of the Fishery management Plan for Maritime activity, on the measures and indicators performance to the Management Plan, the institutional arrangements, implementation, presentation of results and revision of the Management Plan and implications of cost and capacity. The main objective of the Management Plan is to contribute to a sustainable use of living marine resources in the waters of the Republic of Mozambique for the economic growth and improvement of conditions of fishing communities.
