Ministerial Decision No. 75/2020 approving the Regulation of the National Institution for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development IP (IDEPA, IP).

This Ministerial Decision approves the Regulation of the National Institution for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development IP (IDEPA, IP). This Regulation, consisting of 54 articles divided into six Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned public institution under the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, which is responsible to perform the following activities: a) Promote the development of fisheries and aquaculture, with a view to increasing the capacity of operators in the production, valorisation, management and commercialization of national fisheries products; b) Promote actions to extend fishing and aquaculture to communities through the direct involvement of local bodies; c) Disseminate technologies and techniques for the production, processing and commercialization of fisheries products; d) Carry out the experimentation and demonstration of fishing and fish products technologies, as well as the breeding of aquatic species; e) Participate in the mobilization of material and financial resources necessary for the implementation of programmes and projects; f) Participate in the definition of policies and strategies, as well as in programmes conducive to the development of fishing and aquaculture activities, with an emphasis on small scale; and g) Conduct specific socio-economic studies.
