Ministerial Order No. 26/2024 approving the Integrated Provincial Forest Management Plan for Niassa Province.

Being necessary to guarantee the integrated and participatory management of the Forest Heritage and its sustainable exploitation, considering the promotion of good practices, social equity, the involvement of local communities in the decision-making process and fair and equitable access to the benefits generated by forest resources, under the provisions of article 119 of the Regulations of the Forestry and Wildlife Law, approved by Decree No. 12/2002 of 6 June. This Ministerial Order approves the Integrated Provincial Forest Management Plan for Niassa Province.
Its vision is to guarantee the economic, social and environmental benefits of forest goods and services through participatory management for current and future generations in Niassa Province. There are three strategic objectives and lists of Activities that contribute to sustainable forest management and to meeting the sector's challenges: Objective 1 - Strengthening socio-economic development and food security with a focus on community involvement; Objective 2 - Increasing resilience to climate change and natural disasters; Objective 3 - Strengthening social and economic development with a focus on community involvement. resilience to climate change and natural disasters; Objective 3 - Developing capacities and integrating the principles of good governance into forestry development.
