Resolution No. 25/2026 approving the Regulation on Maritime Navigation Aid.

This Resolution approves the Regulation on Maritime Navigation Aid, aimed to establish a modern, uniform, and internationally aligned legal framework governing the national system of aids to maritime navigation. Its main objective is to enhance the safety and efficiency of maritime, fluvial, and lacustrine navigation by defining technical standards, types, characteristics, installation, inspection, and maintenance of navigational aids such as buoys, beacons, lights, electronic and radio‑navigation systems, in accordance with international norms, particularly those of the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) and conventions on the Safety of Life at Sea. In doing so, the resolution also seeks to strengthen institutional oversight, ensure compliance by national and foreign vessels, protect the marine environment, and replace outdated legislation with a coherent regulatory regime adapted to contemporary navigational, environmental, and safety requirements.
