Resolution No. 49/2020 approving the Statute of the National Institution for the Development and Management of Fisheries Infrastructures (INFRAPESCA, IP).

This Resolution approves the Statute of the National Institution for the Development and Management of Fisheries Infrastructures (INFRAPESCA, IP). The Statute, consisting of 33 articles divided into six Chapters and one Annex, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned INFRAPESCA, entitled to carry out all the necessary acts for the development, regulation, coordination and good management of infrastructure and equipment to support fishing and aquaculture, including fish auctions, harbours. In particular, INFRAPESCA is responsible for: elaborating proposals for policies, strategies and plans for infrastructures, equipment to support fishing and aquaculture; carry out research and propose plans for infrastructures and equipment to support fishing and aquaculture; implement projects for the construction and modernization of infrastructures and equipment to support fishing and aquaculture; set and charge fees for the provision of services in support infrastructure for fishing and aquaculture; manage infrastructures and equipment to support fishing and aquaculture, and determine the regime for their exploitation in compliance with the principles and criteria of sustainability and economic and financial profitability; carry out fish reception, auction and delivery operations, as well as other operations complementary to it, including landing, processing, conservation or storage; ensure production of ice, as well as any other related activities; ensure compliance with regulations and contracts relating to the exploitation of infrastructure to support fishing and aquaculture; develop quality manuals relating to good practices, etc.
