Abstract
The Act provides for extensive amendments of the Land Bank Act, 1944. The Bank is provided with legal personality and its own funds. Amendments relate to internal matters of the Bank and the lending of funds to farmers for the acquisition of land or to carry on farming or other agricultural operations, and to lending for the purpose of promoting projects established by or under the authority of the Minister of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development. (24 sections and 1 Schedule)
