Control of the Importation and Exportation of Dairy Products and Dairy Product Substitutes Act (Act 5 of 1986).

This Act empowers the Cabinet to (temporarily) prohibit the importation into or the exportation from the territory of any dairy product or dairy product substitute and for such purposes specified in the notice, or of all dairy products or dairy product substitutes. The Cabinet may however, on application by a wholesaler or the proprietor of a dairy products processing plant, and on the conditions the Cabinet may determine (and also specified by this Act), issue a permit for the importation or exportation of a specific quantity of a dairy product or dairy product substitute in respect of which a prohibition on importation is in force. The Act also provides for the appointment and powers of inspectors.
