Abstract
These Regulations provide for the proper impounding of animals at large. Town or Village Councils shall provide and maintain pounds for animals and shall appoint a pound master (reg. 2). The pound master shall keep a pound book (reg. 10). Owners or occupiers of land may claim compensation for damage caused by the trespassing of stray animals (reg. 13). Animals may be sold by the pound master at markets or at public auctions (regs. 23-26). (41 regulations and 2 Schedules).
