Abstract
This Act amends various sections of the principal Act and inserts a new section (24A) on conservancies amend Wildlife Councils. A group of persons residing on communal land may apply to the Minister to declare their land a conservancy. The group of persons shall constitute a conservancy committee and comply with all requirements set out in section 24A. The Minister may, after consultation with a community residing on communal land, establish a Wildlife Council for that area. Such area shall not include any conservancy, any land subject to lease, or any proclaimed game park or nature reserve.
