Abstract
This Act provides, in a new section 3a, for the establishment of a contiguous zone of 24 nautical miles measured from the low water line or any other baseline from which the territorial sea is measured. Section 1(3) defines the powers of Namibia in the contiguous zone. The continental shelf shall be regarded as forming part of Namibia (sect. 3). (5 sections)

An Act to amend the Territorial Sea and Exclusive Economic Zone of Namibia Act, 1990, in order to establish a contiguous zone for Namibia in which Namibia shall have the right to prevent contravention of certain laws; to further provide for matters relating to the continental shelf of Namibia; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.
