Abstract
This Act provides for the creation of unique identification for each family in the state of Arunachal Pradesh for efficient, transparent and targeted delivery of public welfare benefits and services. The Act requires enrolment for the Arun Parivar Patra Card for every resident family and a unique ID to be assigned to each family. The Act establishes the Arun Parivar Patra Authority which is tasked with the creation of Arun Parivar Patra Resident Data Repository for maintaining a database of identity information of all the Arun Parivar Patra card holders. The process of sharing information and delivery of services and direct transfers of benefits through this system is laid down by the Act. The powers and functions of the Authority and provisions for its governance are provided.
