Abstract
These Regulations here provide for complete set of rules as regards the procedures and necessary actions aimed at granting the prevention of pollution from ships, in British Gibraltar territorial waters.
This text involves the following EU Legislation/International Agreements: International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973 as modified by the Protocol of 1978 relating to that Convention, including all its other Protocols, Annexes and Appendices, and amendments thereto adopted by the International Maritime Organization in accordance with Article 16 of that Convention (MARPOL); Directive 2005/35/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on ship-source pollution and on the introduction of penalties for infringements; and Directive 2009/123/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 October 2009 amending Directive 2005/35/EC on ship-source pollution and on the introduction of penalties for infringements.
