Abstract
These Regulations are setting the sea oil pollution issues as regards the pollution derived from the merchant ships or vessels.
The text is divided into V main Parts with the following titles: Preliminary; Liability; Limitation of liability under Regulation 4; Insurance and jurisdiction; International oil pollution compensation fund.
These Regulations shall apply to pollution damage caused in Gibraltar or in any area within the limits of the territorial sea of Gibraltar, and Gibraltar’s exclusive economic zone established in accordance with international law, or, if such a zone has not been established, such area adjacent to the territorial sea of Gibraltar and extending not more than 200 nautical miles from the baselines from which the breadth of that sea is measured as may have been determined in accordance with international law.
