Abstract
This Act sets the powers and duties of Gibraltar based wildlife wardens, as prescribed by the Nature Protection Act 1991.
Main duties of wildlife warden service and their officers are as follows: to monitor the application and implementation of the Act and any subsidiary legislation thereto and report any breaches therein; to stop and question any person suspected or apparently involved in any prohibited activity; to ensure compliance with conditions stipulated in any license or permit issued under the Act and any subsidiary legislation; to report and record any prohibited or regulated activity; to monitor any activity permitted under the Act and otherwise carried out in areas protected under the Act; to provide information and interpretation to the public and others on matters related to the natural environment.
