Order No. 10 on the use of motorized vehicles.

The Order sets regulations concerning the use of motorized vehicles with the purpose of protecting the environment from pollution thereof. These regulations apply to urban areas, to countryside, fiords and marine areas. The Order does not apply to the National Park of North and East Greenland and the ice cap and glaciers encompassed in this area. Local authority may in special cases grant exemption for driving motorized vehicles outside the municipality designated transport zones; application for exemption shall be submitted to the Ministry of the Environment 4 weeks prior to planned passages, in order to prevent pollution of the environment.
