Abstract
The Act sets regulations on the commercial fishery for shrimp and the requirement of fishing license thereof for year 1984. The criteria for issuing such authorizations includes vessel size which must be of minimum 80 BRT.
Maximum of 90% of the catch may be processed on-board and issuance of license is limited to individuals consisting of min. 70% of the vessel crew whose main source of income is on fisheries. Quota of catch shall be determined by the national fishery and commerce directorate and suspension of fishing activities shall be notified by radio and press when TAC ceiling is reached.
