Abstract
The Order sets regulations on coastal crab-fishing in order to improve its resources and to provide a tool to control quota consumption. It applies to individuals or companies licensed to fish for crabs with vessels of 10 meters' size or larger, which must keep a logbook for each fishing trip and report landing information of their catch. The logbook must include information related to the vessel’s data; date, period and area of fishing; fishing method applied; and weight and size of catch. Landing information must also be registered and submitted for inspection to the Greenland Fishing License Control (GFLK) for quota calculation purposes. For vessels under 10 meters, each landing is subject to notification of license number, capture location, number of baskets.
