Order No. 7 on water quality and supervision of water supply systems.

Abstract
This Order establishes quality requirements for drinking water, including water used for food. These requirements must comply with surveys, including the frequency of sampling and analysis to be made in order to supervise and control drinking water quality. Water Supply Operators shall provide information about water sampling points at water plants and submit them for analysis at laboratories for approval. The local authority may issue orders and impose additional quality standards and inspection programs for substances and microorganisms that are not defined in the included Appendix if deemed that they may be present in a quantity or concentration which poses a risk to health.

Entry into force notes
The Order enters into force on 1 April 2008. Control Programs made under Part 5 and 6 and in Annexes to this Order shall be implemented within 1 August 2008. Until such control programs are implemented, the previously existing control programs are maintained.

Decisions made under Circular No. 20 of 26 January 1990 on water studies in Greenland medical district is valid until decided otherwise by virtue of this Order."Guidelines for drinking water quality and supervision of" approved on 27 August 1990.
