Regional Regulatory Decree No. 9/2025/M approving the organizational structure of the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment, and Culture of the Regional Government of Madeira.

This Regional Regulatory Decree approves the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment, and Culture (SRTAC), as a department of the Regional Government of Madeira referred to in Article 1(c) and Article 4 of Regional Regulatory Decree No. 5/2025/M of 5 May. SRTAC is represented and directed by the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment, and Culture. The Regional Secretary shall have the following specific powers: a) define, coordinate, guide and evaluate the policy of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the sectors specified in Article 3, and promote measures and actions aimed at its implementation; b) promote and ensure the implementation of the government programme of the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the areas of responsibility assigned to the SRTAC; c) supervise and coordinate the activities of the various bodies and services of the SRTAC; d) perform normative, regulatory and inspection activities within the scope of the sectors assigned to the SRTAC; e) perform all acts necessary for the provision, mobility and discipline of SRTAC employees; f) approve activity plans and respective amendments, as well as monitor, evaluate and guide the activity of the entities under its supervision; g) set prices, fees and tariffs, grant licences and authorisations, and award concessions relating to the various sectors of activity under its supervision and oversight; h) decide on the fees and tariffs to be applied to air transport services; i) approve ordinances, orders, circulars and instructions on matters within its competence; j) award distinctions to entities that develop projects or actions relevant to the specific competences of the SRTAC, etc.
