Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure and Environment amending the Regulation on fishing in implementation AIS obligations (GT No. 18 of 2011).

This Decree amends the Fishing Vessel Decree so as to implement Directive 2009/17/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2002/59/EC establishing a Community vessel traffic monitoring and information system. The Decree however specifies that the amendments apply only to Dutch fishing vessels and vessels operating in the European part of the inner waters and territorial waters of the Netherlands or those vessels that land their catch in a Dutch port. The amendments concern implementation of obligations regarding the installation of Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) on vessels.
