Agricultural and Rural Development Authority Law

This Law establishes an authority for the purpose of integrated agricultural and rural development in the Benue State, as Benue State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority. The Law covers the following matters: establishment of the Authority; powers and functions of the authority, including: constructing and maintaining roads, rural water supply, farm service centres and such other infrastructure necessary for the improvement of agriculture and rural development; meeting the technical needs of the project and developing a comprehensive staff development programme; increasing agricultural production; stabilising rural incomes from farming activities; improving rural living standards, particularly through investment in agriculture and infrastructure; funds of the authority.
