Anambra State Physical Planning Law, no.9 of 2013.

This Law applies to all urban and regional planning matters, involving government intervention, administration and control within the boundaries of the Anambra State. The Law defines the following relevant terms: agricultural development; grazing; animal husbandry; livestock production; poultry and fishery management relating activities; crop production; horticulture; development of land for social welfare and community purposes; physical development plan; rural area; urban area. Matters covered by this Law include: types and levels of physical development and plans; composition and power of the Board and of the Planning Authority; issuance of permits for land use planning; payment of compensation; enforcement measures; rehabilitation, renewal and upgrading of certain areas; financial provisions; establishment of the physical planning appeal committee.
