Anambra State Water Corporation Law, Chapter 150 of 1976.

This Law establishes the Water Corporation and details provisions for developing, managing and conserving water in the State. The Law defines the following terms: domestic and non-domestic supply; dwelling house; industrial use of water; waterworks. Matters covered by this Law include: functions of the Corporation: abstracting water from inland water resources within the State, examining any surface or underground water for any pollution, making inspection when necessary, determining adequate fees or charges for water supply, setting up standards relating to water supply; administrative organisation; supply of water and specification of water charges; financial provisions and funds of the corporation; transfer of waterworks; abstraction of water by authorities; offences, damages to waterworks, non-payment of water rates and charges; legal proceedings.
