Animal (Diseases) Regulations, no. 7 of 1918.

These Regulations, made under provisions of section 3 of Animal (Diseases) Law, provide for declaring certain animals and certain diseases to be included in the definition of the Law. The Regulations define: veterinary surgeon; veterinary officer; Permanent Secretary with supervision powers on matters relating to animal health. Matters covered by these Regulations include: notification of disease; power to order the slaughtering of an animal after the instruction of a veterinary officer; powers of entry, inspection and examination; compensation to be paid, except for any dog which is, or is suspected of being, infected with rabies.
