Assignment or Transfer of Licence and Permit Regulations, Statutory Instrument no. 6 of 2023.

These Regulations, made under sections 33 and 117 of the Petroleum Industry Act, No. 6, of 2021, apply to activities connected with the assignment or transfer of licenses or permits granted by the Authority for midstream and downstream petroleum operations, and provide for: establishing a procedure for the assignment or transfer of licence or permit; prescribing fees for such assignment or transfer; establishing sanctions and administrative penalties for misconduct. Matters covered by these Regulations concern: nature of assignment or transfer of licence and permit; change of name arising from a corporate restructuring or rebranding of a company; procedure for assignment or transfer of a licence; prohibition of assignment or transfer of licence or permit without the consent of the Authority; processing fees based on various activities; contraventions and administrative penalties.
