Bauchi State Agricultural Development Authority Law, Chapter 173 of 2002

This Law provides for establishing the Bauchi State Agricultural Development Authority and specifies the following objectives: carrying out a comprehensive agricultural development of the State through a targeted programme to improve crops production, farming practices and strengthen agricultural extension services; improving farming management and irrigation services; improving research on crop varieties; ensuring stocks of diseases-free seeds, and the production of seeds and planting materials; agro-forestry development; implementing soil conservation and land-planning techniques. The Law covers the following matters: powers and duties of the Authority; appointment of director and staff; establishment of the executive committee; funds of the authority; legal proceedings.
